charity and community work 2025
Philosophy
Giving back is an important aspect of my business. As our ability increases in life, so too should our focus on giving back to those in need. This year my art has assisted a number of causes, all close to my heart.
Cancer support fundraising
Raising money to help a young father access specialized cancer treatment. So far he is responding well, much to the relief of his loving wife and little daughter
KAnimbla Wombats
Raising money to help Kanimbla Wombats treat our adorable wombat friends for mange. Lots of happy little wombies have been healed and released over this year thanks to Kanimbla Wombats wonderful work.
Illawarra cat rescue support
Raising money for Illawarra animal rescue groups to help homeless kitties and doggos to get the help they need on the way to their forever homes, like my fosters fails in the photo who became forever family.
School support and volunteer work
· A donation of Karlie Donaldson Art gift cards to every student at a local school in a disadvantaged setting, so that the little children would have something special to give loved ones for Christmas.
· Donation of my time each week to provide free art lessons to primary school aged children from a disadvantaged area. The joy and healing of art should be for everyone, after all.
· Donation of my time to create garden play spaces for children in an underprivileged setting
Animal rescue and fundrasising
Using my own money to rescue, support and feed abused animals that I foster myself on their journey to finding trust, love and recovery. My current foster kitty Maverick is doing a wonderfully brave job of learning to live with his anxiety disorder and open his little heart to humans.

About the Artist
I'm Karlie, a South Coast visual artist and creator. I live and create, gratefully on Dharawal Country in Wollongong. My art expresses my love of colour and my connection to the natural world.
